Necklace - "Quiet Introspection"

This necklace was inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: This statement piece was inspired by the moments of quiet introspection one can experience on Grand Manan Island, the Queen of the Fundy Isles. It features a beguiling, genuine jet black Swarovski crystal, long and faceted, suspended from a raw brass demi-lune, covered in greenish/blue natural patina. The pendant ends in a little brass drop, for more balance. All of the brass components are covered in heavy Grand Manan patina, one I achieved by covering the pieces with natural ingredients and leaving them in the open, salty air of Grand Manan Island to “age”. The pendant hangs on a double-ball chain. The closure is a little lobster claw.
Moments of quiet introspection can be rare in our busy world but it is up to us to seek them out. There are times in our lives when that seem almost impossible to accomplish. And yet, even seconds of mindfulness can make a world of difference and re-centre us, balance and sustain us. This necklace was created with such moments in mind.
