Necklace - "Glow"

This necklace was inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: In this necklace, I combined ovals and their halves - in raw brass, and in brass (in silver-tone). I hammered these shapes, scratched and holed them, for a natural, authentic look. From the “silver moon” hangs a lovely piece of raw quartz, electrolyzed to a charming shade of peach. I have encircled it, as if in a frame. All of the brass components of the necklace are covered in heavy Grand Manan Patina - one I achieved by covering them with natural ingredients, and then leaving them in the open sky and salty air on Grand Manan Island - to “age”. The “chain” is made of various raw brass connectors. Small lobster-claw closure.
As much of the world still sleeps, the summer sun paints the horizon and makes the sky above it glow. As minutes pass, the array of colour expands, and the landscape’s sharp silhouettes give way to paths of light, often moist with dew. And then the sun rises - and now everything wakes up and glows ~ an island morning spectacle that must be seen to be believed.
DIMENSIONS: Chain length: approx. 30”, 76 cm Pendant length: 4”, 10 cm (we can shorten the chain for you, on request).
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the necklace. Doing so may alter the patina on the raw brass. If the necklace gets wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
