The Canadian Maritimes are very special, and Grand Manan Island is no exception. It lies at the mouth of the Bay of Fundy, with the Gulf of Maine to the west.
The Island is like no other place on earth - those who love it know that already. Its fauna, flora, location, size, history and geological origins definitely justify the use of the word “unique” to describe it. It is remote but not desolate by any means - it teams with life and breathes its own breath, timed by the remarkable cycle of its tide.
