Necklace - "The Planets Aligned"

This necklace was inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: In this necklace, planet-inspired shapes combine to invoke the image of a galaxy. I hammered a free-form raw brass oval for a natural, authentic look. It is covered in heavy Grand Manan Patina - one I achieved by covering it with natural ingredients, and then leaving it in the open sky and salty air on Grand Manan Island - to “age”. From the free-form shape hang three genuine raw garnet beads, rough and authentic. The beads decrease in size. At the bottom of the pendant hangs a little brass teardrop.
The “chain” is made of patinated brass connectors. Small lobster-claw closure.
THE STORY: We are a pebble in the universe. It helps to remember that. Awareness of our relative insignificance puts a lot in perspective - and can assist in moments of overwhelm. When balance returns, the planets align.
DIMENSIONS: Chain length: approx. 28”, 71 cm Pendant length: 4 1/2”, 11.5 cm (we can shorten the chain for you, on request).
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the necklace. Doing so may alter the patina on the raw brass. If the necklace gets wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
