Necklace - "Lunar Adventure"

This necklace was inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: In this necklace, various moon-inspired shapes combine to invoke the image of a lunar adventure. I hammered these shapes, holed and scratched them, for a more natural, authentic look. From the rhombus displaying the phases of the Moon, I suspended a lovely irregular rock crystal bead - for added balance and clarity. All of the brass components of the necklace are covered in heavy Grand Manan Patina - one I achieved by covering them with natural ingredients, and then leaving them in the open sky and salty air on Grand Manan Island - to “age”. The “chain” is made of patinated brass connectors. Small lobster-claw closure.

The Moon’s travels across the expanse of our heavens bring their own energy to earthly creatures - a dark rhythm some swear by and dance to with reverence. For them, life is a lunar adventure.
