Necklace - "Fisherman's Sunrise"

This necklace was inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: I hammered, scratched and holed a raw brass “half-moon” and from it, I suspended a hammered brass oval. This, in turn, serves as a connector to a shard of genuine quartz with a beguiling orange/pink/purple finish. All of the brass components of the necklace are covered in heavy Grand Manan Patina - one I achieved by covering them with natural ingredients, and then leaving them in the open sky and salty air on Grand Manan Island - to “age”. The “chain” is made of various raw brass connectors. Small lobster-claw closure.
No two sunrises are alike, and on Grand Manan Island, you will certainly get your fill of some unique beauties. Often, when I stand in the window and watch Mother Nature paint the morning sky with the most incredible combinations of orange and pink hues, I think of the fishermen, out there in the Bay of Fundy, sharing the awesome energy of the sight.

ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the necklace. Doing so will alter the patina and dangles. If the necklace gets wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
