Necklace - "She-Warrior V"

This necklace was inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: I patinated and hand-altered a little raw brass shield. From this little shield, I suspended three dangles - brass shapes and a flower, hammered and scratched, and a female form with her arms raised in a sign of strength. All of the brass components, other than the female form, are covered in heavy Grand Manan Patina - one I achieved by covering them with natural ingredients and then leaving them in the open, salty air of the island, to “age”. The female form is covered in Mykonos patina. The “chain” is made of Miyuki glass beads on S-Lon thread. There is no closure - the necklace ends in a little tassel. The necklace look amazing with other, layering pieces.
Affirming of life, and the power of women everywhere. Or wear it as a tribute to a woman who guided and shaped you.
DIMENSIONS: Chain length: approx. 32”, 81cm Pendant length: 3”, 7.7cm
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the necklace. Doing so will alter the patina and dangles. If the necklace gets wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
