Necklace - "Equipoise"

This necklace was inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: This statement necklace features a beguiling, genuine jet black Swarovski crystal. It is irregularly shaped, faceted, and has a “ridge” running through it, revealing a matte surface. This crystal is suspended from a raw brass irregular ring covered in greenish/blue natural patina. All of the brass components are covered in heavy Grand Manan patina, one I achieved by covering the pieces with natural ingredients and leaving them in the open, salty air of Grand Manan Island to “age”. The pendant hangs on a double-ball chain. The closure is a little lobster claw.
Equipoise is the balance of forces or interests. When life feels just right, when everything “flows” and aligns, we are experiencing equipoise. We think of this state as one that ebbs and flows over time - as the forces in our lives fight one another from time to time, or interests compete. The goal is to return to this state, sometimes slowly, but steadily and with purpose. Return to balance.
