Necklace - "Personal Galaxy II"

This necklace was inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: A hammered, scratched, holed and hand-painted raw brass “moon” suspends a raw brass free-form shape and a demi-lune. All of the brass components of the necklace are covered in heavy Grand Manan Patina - one I achieved by covering them with natural ingredients, and then leaving them in the open sky and salty air on Grand Manan Island - to “age”. The “chain” is made of various raw brass connectors. Small lobster-claw closure.
Sometimes if feels like Grand Manan Island is a planet of its own in a unique little galaxy, flung far offshore, in the “universe” of the Bay of Fundy, its waters as deep as the blackness of space. It has its own pulsing heartbeat, timed by the ever ebbing and flowing tides, and the rhythm of the fishermen’s work.
DIMENSIONS: Chain length: approx. 29”, 74 cm Pendant length: 4”, 10 cm
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the necklace. Doing so will alter the patina and dangles. If the necklace gets wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
