Earrings - "The Fern and the Moon IV"

These earrings were inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: These longer earrings evoke a connection to the very essence of Mother Earth - a fern frond under a full Moon. We covered both the hammered and scratched brass ovals and the brass fern fronds in the Grand Manan patina - the result of applying to them different natural ingredients, and then leaving them in the open, salty air of the island to “age”. The patina is raw, meaning that it will continue to bloom as you wear the earrings - with very slight alterations here and there, as if the metal were alive.
Suspended from stainless steel, handmade earwires. You have a choice here (see last photo):

Ferns are abundant on Grand Manan Island. At Fernleigh Ridge, we are lucky to enjoy the Eastern Hay-scented Fern (Dennstaedtia punctilobula) , featured in our images and logo. Lush and featuring fronds with incredible lacy detail, this amazing plant gives off a scent of fresh-cut hay as you brush up against it. The fronds turn amazing shades of yellow and rust in the Fall.
DIMENSIONS: Overall length (from top of earwire to lowest part of earrings) approx. 2 3/4”. 7 cm (slightly shorter if selecting Option B for earwires).
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the earrings. If the earrings get wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
