Earrings - "Returning to Seal Cove"

These earrings were inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: Brass components in three different shapes are suspended, one from another, to form dangles. They are hammered, scratched and covered in the Grand Manan Patina - the result of applying to them various natural ingredients and leaving them in the open, salty and foggy air of Grand Manan Island. The patina is unsealed ~ there will be very slight, organic variations here and there as the earrings age.
Suspended from stainless steel, handmade earwires. You have a choice here (see last photo):
Option A - Kite Stainless Steel with plastic backs

Fishing is one of the commercial lifebloods of Grand Manan Island (tourism is another). Fishing boats punctuate the landscape, both at the shore and out in the Bay of Fundy, including in our beloved Seal Cove. These earrings were inspired by the dedicated work of all the fishermen who return to the port after a long-day’s or night’s work.
DIMENSIONS: Overall length (from top of earwire to lowest part of earrings) 2”, 5 cm (slightly longer if you pick Option B for earwires).
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the earrings. If the earrings get wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
