Earrings - "Rockweed Forest"

These earrings were inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: The various raw brass and metal components of these dangle earrings are covered in the Grand Manan patina - the result of applying to them different natural ingredients and then leaving them in the open, salty air of the island to “age”. The patina is raw, meaning that it will continue to bloom as you wear the earrings - with very slight alterations here and there, as if the metal were alive. I have also altered the metals a little - hammering and scratching them. The colours and textures represent the raw, authentic, rustic beauty of this part of the Maritimes. Hanging on stainless steel, handmade earwires.

Seaweed forests surround Grand Manan Island - partially revealed by the ebb and flow of the pulsating tides. Rockweed is abundant - with its green and yellow fronds, like little fingers swaying as the light streams through the salty waters. The colours of these earrings were inspired by those seascapes.
DIMENSIONS: Overall length (from top of earwire to lowest part of earrings) approx. 2 1/2”, 6.3 cm - slightly shorter if you select Option A for your earwires.
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the earrings. If the earrings get wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
