Earrings - "Looking Northeast to White Head Island"

These earrings were inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: To all of the raw brass components of these earrings, we applied the Grand Manan patina - we coated them with natural ingredients and left them in the open, salty air of the Island. The patina is raw, meaning there will be very slight variations in it over time, as if the metal were “alive”. At the bottom of the dangles hang funky, articulated “snake skins” - bits of brass joined by rings to move as you move.
These earrings will sway gently as you move, in a natural, sensual way.
Suspended from stainless steel, handmade earwires. You have a choice here (see last photo):

The ocean is alive, every minute of every day. Its surface presents an endless parade of scenarios as it interacts with the the wind, the sky, the sun and moon, and the planet’s own movement. Standing at the highest point at Fernleigh Ridge and looking northeast, one can see White Head Island and on a regular basis, the ferry that services its inhabitants. On a summer day, as the sun moves across the sky, it causes the ocean to sparkle with incredible intensity - as if sending hundreds of light signals in our direction. Looking northeast to White Head Island, the ocean expresses its joy.
DIMENSIONS: Overall length (from top of earwire to lowest part of earrings) 3 1/4”, 8.3 cm (slightly shorter if you pick Option A for earwires).
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Do not submerge the earrings. Doing so will alter the patina. If the earrings get wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
