Earrings - "Along Red Point Trail"

These earrings were inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: Understated and yet, very eloquent, these were inspired by the very essence of Grand Manan Island - the Red Point Trail. The raw brass components were hammered by me for a more authentic, rustic feel. The holed ovals and the little dangles are covered in the Grand Manan Patina - one I achieved by covering them with different natural ingredients and then leaving them in the open, salty air of the Island, to “age”. The patina is raw - meaning that there will be slight alternations in it from time to time - as if the metal were alive.
Suspended from stainless steel, handmade earwires. You have a choice here (see last photo):

Red Point Trail is our favourite hiking trail on Grand Manan Island (and there are many!). Winding along the coast through woods lush in the summer, and atmospheric and a little mysterious in the winter, this trail connects Red Point Beach and Anchorage - where you will find a lovely long beach, as well as Great and Long Pond. The ferns, the mosses, amazing! Birds, squirrels! A unique flora and enchanting fauna - beautiful each and every month of the year, in its own way!
DIMENSIONS: Overall length (from top of earwire to lowest part of earrings) 1 3/4”, 4.4 cm - slightly longer if selecting Option B for earwires.
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the earrings as that may alter the patina. If the earrings get wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
