Earrings - "Sunday at Deep Cove"

These earrings were inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: These feminine, longer earrings suggest the colours and textures of Deep Cove Beach. The brass elements (all pieces other than the stainless steel earwires) are covered in the Grand Manan patina - the result of applying to them different natural ingredients and then leaving them in the open, salty air of the island to “age”. The patina is raw, meaning that it will continue to bloom as you wear the earrings - with very slight alterations here and there, as if the metal were alive.
Suspended from stainless steel, handmade earwires. You have a choice here (see last photo):

Deep Cove Beach on Grand Manan Island is a crescent of sand, beach stones and driftwood that expands markedly as the tide ebbs. It neighbours a creek that spills over the beachhead when the water level is high enough. In the summer, small sister-coves open up along the rock-faces to the north, and can be accessed for ocean-gazing and dreaming. It’s a magical location, breathing peace and balance into the surrounding landscape.
DIMENSIONS: Overall length (from top of earwire to lowest part of earrings) 3”, 8.3cm - slightly shorter if selecting Option A for earwires.
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the earrings as that may alter the patina. If the earrings get wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
