Earrings - "At Jack Tars Cove"

These earrings were inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: Raw brass connectors of different sizes and shapes were scratched and altered for a more rustic, authentic feel. I arranged them to create little chandeliers, with a small brass dangle at the bottom. Not overpowering, these make a confident statement but do not shout. All of the components (other than the earwires) are covered in the Grand Manan Patina - one I achieved by covering them with different natural ingredients and then leaving them in the open, salty air of the Island, to “age”. The patina is raw - meaning that there will be slight alternations in it from time to time - as if the metal were alive.
Suspended from stainless steel, handmade earwires. You have a choice here (see last photo):

As you head south on Grand Manan Island, you will find Hwy 776 winding along the edge of the ocean, with coves and beaches along the way, including Jack Tars Cove. In June, lupins line the sides of the road, as if a grey ribbon were dressed up with lilac and pink embroidery.
DIMENSIONS: Overall length (from top of earwire to lowest part of earrings) 2”, 5.2cm (slightly longer is selecting Option B for earwires).
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the earrings as that may alter the patina. If the earrings get wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
