Necklace - "Spring at the Whistle"
“Mother Nature seldom gives us perfectly straight lines or flawlessly shiny surfaces. Mother Nature is best at being raw, visceral and atmospheric.”
This necklace was inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: A single strand of double-ball raw brass chain, covered in the Grand Manan patina, carries a little stream of recycled glass beads from around the world - Java, Bali and Turkey. The colours and soft and muted, reminiscent of the best of Spring. The closure is a little lobster claw. This piece would look amazing on its own or with other layering pieces.
Spring on Grand Manan Island comes in slow but steady steps - and reaches its full potential when gardens fill with daffodils and hyacinths, and roadsides with lilacs. May celebrates the joy of rhodonendrons, and wild iris begin to fill the meadows. At the Whistle, on the north-west side of the island, ocean currents prepare for the annual migration of whales, dolphins and flocks of birds.
DIMENSIONS: Chain length: approx. 25”, 63.5cm
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the necklace. Doing so may alter the patina on the chain. If the necklace gets wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
FREE SHIPPING - This item will ship from either New Brunswick or Ontario.
