Necklace - "Ocean Flotsam"

This necklace was inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts. She gives them to us expecting nothing in return, except our love.
COMPONENTS: This necklace is a “mixed bag” of fabric, brass, sari silk ribbon, ceramics, quartz, freshwater pearls and recycled glass. A brass link chain, with heavy patina, will supend the necklace around your neck. Strands of recycled sari silk ribbon, in a muted blue shade with frayed edges, suspends two “rows” of beads - the upper row carries 7 recycled glass beads, and the lower row suspends metal rings and rhombuses, ceramic beads, freshwater pearls, Czech premium glass beads and a lovely pillow-bead of clear quartz. There is no closure - the necklace slips over your head.
Earthy. Organic. Real.
DIMENSIONS: Necklace length (the full length as opposed to length while folded in half): 37”, 94cm
We must admit - we are endlessly fascinated by what the ocean washes up - and Grand Manan Island is THE place to do a lot of beach and cove combing, and find items both expected and odd. This necklace was inspired by some of these outings and adventures - a collection of imaginary flotsam hanging as the bottom “pendant” -metal, pottery, and other bits and ends.
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the necklace. Doing so will alter the patina on the brass, the silk and the beads. If the necklace gets wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
