Necklace - "Medusa III"

This necklace was inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: A heavily hammered and scratched raw brass “half-moon” suspends a free-form gold-tone holed connector, and a little shield with 5 moving tentacles, made of raw brass. All of the brass components of the necklace are covered in heavy Grand Manan Patina - one I achieved by covering them with natural ingredients, and then leaving them in the open sky and salty air on Grand Manan Island - to “age”. The “chain” is made of various raw brass connectors. Small lobster-claw closure.
The Bay of Fundy is full of amazing creatures, some real and some imaginary. Among the latter is, perhaps, an amazing Medusa, with its long tentacles. She comes up to the surface of the ocean only on clear nights, and only when the moon is half-full….and how she dances in the waves.
DIMENSIONS: Chain length: approx. 34”, 86.5 cm Pendant length: 4 3/4”, 12cm (we can shorten the chain for you, on request).
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the necklace. Doing so will alter the patina and dangles. If the necklace gets wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
