Necklace - "Carefree Summer"

This necklace was inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: I patinated and distressed a brass oval - the process was completed on Grand Manan Island where the piece was exposed to the salty air underneath the open sky, using natural ingredients. From this oval, I suspended various dangles - two random pieces of chain, a titanium quartz crystal point in a lovely hot pink hue, a blackened copper heart-shaped lock and a handmade glass donut - in a magnetic shade of blue. The dangles do not appear to be connected by any theme but to me, they are: they represent the summer and the treasure trove of colours, shapes and activities available to engage in. The pendant hangs on a long brass chain. There is no closure.
DIMENSIONS: Chain length: 30”, 76cm Pendant length: 3 1/4”, 8cm
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the necklace. Doing so will alter the patina, which is not sealed, and beads. If the necklace gets wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
