Earrings - "Chocolate Beach"

These earrings were inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: These earthy dangle earrings feature different hues, shapes and textures. Dots, dimples and scratches - just like in nature. I have hammered and scratched the raw brass shapes for a more natural, authentic look. All of the brass components are also covered in the Grand Manan Patina - here, in chocolate brown with muted ochre splashes - one I achieved by covering them with different natural ingredients and then leaving them in the open, salty air of the Island, to “age”. The patina is raw - meaning that there will be slight alternations in it from time to time - as if the metal were alive.
Suspended from stainless steel, handmade earwires. You have a choice here (see last photo):

There is no actual chocolate beach on Grand Manan Island but there is one in the world of imagination - it’s a cove with rich brown sand, oche stones and pebbles here and there, the tide ebbing at its edge. Fairies come to play here on warm summer nights, their muslin dresses fluttering in the night breeze. They set up tiny fires and sit around them, faces lit up by the flames, eating wild blackberries.
DIMENSIONS: Overall length (from top of earwire to lowest part of earrings) 2.5”, 6.3 cm - slightly shorter if selecting Option A for earwires.
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the earrings as that may alter the patina. If the earrings get wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
