Earrings - "At Seal Cove Sand Beach"

These earrings were inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: Roughly scratched and hammered ridged raw brass ovals suspend raw brass chandelier-like shapes, with smaller round dangles. All of the brass components are also covered in the Grand Manan Patina - one I achieved by applying to them different natural ingredients and then leaving them in the open, salty air of the Island, to “age”. The patina is raw - meaning that there will be slight alternations in it from time to time - as if the metal were alive.
Suspended from stainless steel, handmade earwires. You have a choice here (see last photo):

Seal Cove Sand Beach is just around the proverbial corner from Fernleigh Ridge - a beach with unique energy and character, a part of historic Seal Cove. Lovely both at low and high tide, it is particularly atmospheric on steamy summer mornings when one can walk quite a distance with the ebbing tide uncovering stretches of it in the direction of Red Point Fault. The hues in these earrings are reminiscent of the hues of such mornings.
DIMENSIONS: Overall length (from top of earwire to lowest part of earrings) 2 1/2”, 6.3cm - slightly longer if selecting Option B for earwires.
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the earrings as that may alter the patina. If the earrings get wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
