Necklace - "Pensive Moon"

This necklace was inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: A hammered, scratched and otherwise hand-altered brass “moon” suspends two curved brass connectors and an articulated brass circle. From this set of dangles I suspended a genuine Swarovski crystal pillar bead - in an amazing hue of anchor-gray. On the brass moon, I included a faint impression of a crescent - you will see it when the pendant moves. All of the brass components of the necklace are covered in heavy Grand Manan Patina - one I achieved by covering them with natural ingredients, and then leaving them in the open sky and salty air on Grand Manan Island - to “age”. The “chain” is made of various raw brass connectors. Small lobster-claw closure.
The Moon can charm and beguile, and many fall under its spell. In the summer, we can see it during the day over Fernleigh Ridge - when both the Sun and the Moon are visible at the same time as they criss-cross the horizon. This necklace represents the pensive wisdom of the Moon - quiet, steady and oh-so-mysterious.

ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the necklace. Doing so will alter the patina and dangles. If the necklace gets wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
