This necklace was inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: A hammered, scratched, holed and hand-painted metal “moon” suspends a genuine Swarovski crystal, faceted “shade”, in beguiling hues of green and deep yellow. The shard is “framed” by a free-floating circle. The “chain” is made of various raw brass connectors. There is no closure - it slips over your head.
Summers on Grand Manan Island are lush and verdant. When in July and August, parts of Fernleigh Ridge turn into a meadow filled with field flowers and ferns, the Sun gives way on some evenings to an almost green moon. The jewels adorning the forest-fairies’ fantastic hats flash here and there, as they make their way to their secret destinations. Ferns join their fronds, as if applauding the Moon’s hue.
