Necklace - "Indigo Blue Galaxy"

This necklace was inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: A hammered, scratched an otherwise hand-altered brass (metal-tone) “moon” suspends a raw brass demi-lune and an irregularly shaped raw brass dangle. From these I suspended a genuine Swarovski crystal pillar bead - in an amazing hue of indigo blue. All of the brass components of the necklace are covered in heavy Grand Manan Patina - one I achieved by covering them with natural ingredients, and then leaving them in the open sky and salty air on Grand Manan Island - to “age”. The “chain” is made of various raw brass connectors. Small lobster-claw closure.
You would have to travel through dark space for many, many earth years to reach the Indigo Blue Galaxy, where no one cries and “Joy” is the middle name of each and every inhabitant. The Galaxy has its own pulsing heartbeat, timed by the three suns that puncuate the darkness. It’s a happy place we can go to when we need to retrieve the basic feeling of happiness.
