Necklace - "Grassy Dunes"

This necklace was inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts. She gives them to us expecting nothing in return, except our love.
COMPONENTS: This necklace is a “mixed bag” of copper, sari silk ribbon, blue/green round and peach pillar quartz, faceted chrysoprase beads and green aventurine donut beads. All of the copper components are covered in heavy patina. A large hammered copper ring is set off-side. The pillar of quartz is also wrapped with copper wire. The part of the necklace that will hug your neck is made of recycled sari silk ribbon, deliciously frayed. The closure is a large copper lobster claw.

There are grassy dunes on Grand Manan Island - where Long Pond and Great Pond give seagulls a chance to splash in fresh water at dawn before they take off in search of their breakfast in the receding tide. In the Summer, the colours of this enchanting landscape are blue, green and peach, in various shades and variations. At dawn, dew droplets charm the eye, and the mist lifts off the nearby beach. The song of the seagulls’ squaks breaks the silence.
