Earrings - "Western Cliffs"

These earrings were inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: All of the raw brass components in these earrings are covered in the Grand Manan Patina - one I achieved by applying to them different natural ingredients, and then leaving them in the open, salty air of the Island, to “age”. The patina is raw - meaning that there will be slight alternations in it from time to time - as if the metal were alive. From the heavily hammered horseshoes, I suspended clusters of genuine turquoise beads, in irregular shapes for a more natural look. The earrings will sway gently as you move.
Suspended from stainless steel, handmade earwires. You have a choice here (see last photo):
Option A - Kite Stainless Steel with plastic backs
OR
Option B - Almond Stainless Steel with closure - please select at CHECKOUT
Grand Manan Island is a geological wonder. On the much geologically "younger" western side, it's not uncommon to find semiprecious gems, embedded in the tall cliffs and tumbling onto the picturesque coves. Those areas, however, are not easy to access without a boat. They remain pristine and untouched in many ways.
DIMENSIONS: Overall length (from top of earwire to lowest part of earrings) 3”, 7 1/2cm - slightly shorter if selecting Option A for earwires.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Do not submerge the earrings as that may alter the patina. If the earrings get wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
