Earrings - "August Afternoon at Seal Cove"

These earrings were inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: Brass components in three different shapes are suspended, one from another, to form dangles. They are hammered, scratched and covered in the Grand Manan Patina - the result of applying to them various natural ingredients and leaving them in the open, salty and foggy air of Grand Manan Island. The patina is unsealed ~ there will be very slight, organic variations here and there as the earrings age.
Suspended from stainless steel, handmade earwires. You have a choice here (see last photo):
Option A - Kite Stainless Steel with plastic backs
OR
Option B - Almond Stainless Steel with closure - please select at CHECKOUT
It was a sunny day on Grand Manan Island. Bright, vividly-coloured and fragrant with Rugosa roses and seaweed. The herring sheds stood silently, filled with memories old and new. The sand beach at the shore, painted with patterns of the ebbing tide, was a ribbon of sand against the brilliantly blue sky. Summer on Grand Manan Island.
DIMENSIONS: Overall length (from top of earwire to lowest part of earrings) 2 1/2”, 6.3 cm (slightly shorter if you pick Option A for earwires).
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the earrings. If the earrings get wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
