Earrings - "Tide Lagoon"

These earrings were inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: The starring role in these dramatic earrings goes to irregular brass shapes (1 1/2, 3.7cm long) to which I applied blue speckled Grand Manan patina - I coated them with natural ingredients and left them in the open, salty air at the Island. I suspended these “tide lagoon” from slender brass connectors. The patina is raw, meaning there will be very slight variations in it over time, as if the metal were “alive”.
These earrings will sway gently as you move, in a natural, sensual way.
Suspended from stainless steel, handmade earwires. You have a choice here (see last photo):
Option A - Kite Stainless Steel with plastic backs
OR
Option B - Almond Stainless Steel with closure - please select at CHECKOUT
Grand Manan Island experiences very dramatic tides, twice a day. When the ocean ebbs, it reveals a world unseen when the tide is high. Tide pools are visible at the shore, filled with ocean fauna and flora. Tiny universes pulsating with life one minute and then becoming still the next - ocean-side poetry.
DIMENSIONS: Overall length (from top of earwire to lowest part of earrings) 3 1/4”, 8.3 cm (slightly shorter if you pick Option A for earwires).
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Do not submerge the earrings. Doing so will alter the patina. If the earrings get wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
