Earrings - "Six Owls"

These earrings were inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: I hammered, scratched and holed elongated raw brass connectors From these, I suspended 6 charming little owls - 3 at each earring - they are made of slightly transparent and irridescent premium Czech glass, in amazing hues of pink, purple and lilac. All of the brass components are covered in the Grand Manan Patina - one I achieved by covering them with different natural ingredients and then leaving them in the open, salty air of the Island, to “age”. The patina is raw - meaning that there will be slight alternations in it from time to time - as if the metal were alive.
Suspended from stainless steel, handmade earwires. You have a choice here (see last photo):
Option A - Kite Stainless Steel with plastic backs

Yes, there are owls on Grand Manan Island. A couple of years ago, Kevin and I were even lucky enough to see some snow owls taking little jaunts over an old airport - if you know the Island, we bet you can guess the location. It was an awe-inpiring sight as these creatures are truly majestic and almost magical.
DIMENSIONS: Overall length (from top of earwire to lowest part of earrings) 2 7/8”, 7.3cm - slightly shorter if selecting Option A for earwires.
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the earrings as that may alter the patina. If the earrings get wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
