Earrings - "Anchorage Dunes in Spring"

“Mother Nature seldom gives us perfectly straight lines or flawlessly shiny surfaces. Mother Nature is best at being raw, visceral and atmospheric.”

These earrings were inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.

COMPONENTS: In these feminine little chandelier earrings, I paired heavily hammered raw brass demi-lunes with small raw brass square connectors. From these dangles hang charming premium quality Czech glass beads. They are faceted and carry lovely hues of Spring green, celadon and grey. All of the brass components are also covered in the Grand Manan Patina - one I achieved by applying to them different natural ingredients, and then leaving them in the open, salty air of the Island, to “age”. The patina is raw - meaning that there will be slight alternations in it from time to time - as if the metal were alive.

Suspended from stainless steel, handmade earwires. You have a choice here (see last photo):

Option A - Kite Stainless Steel with plastic backs

OR

Option B - Almond Stainless Steel with closure - please select at CHECKOUT

Sand dunes separate Anchorage Beach from Long Pond, on Grand Manan island. In Spring, they wake up and rejuvenate, covering themselves in many shades of green and complex textures. The grasses push forth soft baby fronds, and the wild sweet peas curl just above the surface of the sand. Seagulls soar above, delighting in the sun’s warming rays.

DIMENSIONS: Overall length (from top of earwire to lowest part of earrings) 2 1/4”, 5.7 cm - slightly longer if selecting Option B for earwires.

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

Do not submerge the earrings as that may alter the patina. If the earrings get wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue

FREE SHIPPING - This item will ship from either New Brunswick or Ontario.
