Earrings - "On the Way to Gannet Rock"

These earrings were inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: Raw brass ovals of different shapes and sizes join together to form a chandelier-like design. All of the components (other than the earwires) are covered in the Grand Manan Patina - one I achieved by covering them with different natural ingredients and then leaving them in the open, salty air of the Island, to “age”. The patina is raw - meaning that there will be slight alternations in it from time to time - as if the metal were alive.
Suspended from stainless steel, handmade earwires. You have a choice here (see last photo):
Option A - Kite Stainless Steel with plastic backs

These earrings are named after an experience I had taking a boat trip to Gannet Rock with a dear friend in the summer of 2022. The sky was brilliant blue and the surface of the ocean glistened with a golden sheen. We proceeded very slowly, as if reluctant to disturb this mirage-like scene. Only occasional splashes made by dolphins playing around the boat brought us out of the reverie.
DIMENSIONS: Overall length (from top of earwire to lowest part of earrings) 2 1/4”, 5.5cm - slightly longer if selecting Option B for earwires.
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the earrings as that may alter the patina. If the earrings get wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
