Earrings - "Old Oak Tree"

These earrings were inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: I hammered and scratched brass circles. From these, I suspended truly beautiful premium Czech glass acorns, in a charming shade of aqua blue. The acorns are detailed and have a vintage look. All of the brass components are covered in the Grand Manan Patina - one I achieved by covering them with different natural ingredients and then leaving them in the open, salty air of the Island, to “age”. The patina is raw - meaning that there will be slight alternations in it from time to time - as if the metal were alive.
Suspended from stainless steel, handmade earwires. You have a choice here (see last photo):
Option A - Kite Stainless Steel with plastic backs

There is an old oak tree at the end of that thin ribbon of road that winds towards the ocean. In the winter, its branches sway as nor'easters come through. In the summer, the shade it casts broadly shields lemonade stands and occasional passersby. In the fall, it donates a bounty to the local fauna - acorns that matured with a view of the ocean.
DIMENSIONS: Overall length (from top of earwire to lowest part of earrings) 2 3/4”, 7cm - slightly shorter if selecting Option A for earwires.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Do not submerge the earrings as that may alter the patina. If the earrings get wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
