Earrings - "Late May Cherry"

These earrings were inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: In these feminine chandelier earrings, I paired various raw brass shapes with freshwater pearls shaped like little flowers. All of the brass components are covered in the Grand Manan Patina - one I achieved by applying to them different natural ingredients, and then leaving them in the open, salty air of the Island, to “age”. The patina is raw - meaning that there will be slight alternations in it from time to time - as if the metal were alive. I added tiny brass circles for more movement.
Suspended from stainless steel, handmade earwires. You have a choice here (see last photo):
Option A - Kite Stainless Steel with plastic backs

DIMENSIONS: Overall length (from top of earwire to lowest part of earrings) 2 3/4”, 7 cm - slightly shorter if selecting Option A for earwires.
We have a cherry at Fernleigh Ridge - a Montmorency sour cherry. In late May each year, she delights us with her almost out-of-this-world appearance - ethereal, dreamy - adorned like a Spring bride in a dress sewn with tiny white flowers, a chorus of delighted bees cheering on the scene. Our cherry was the inspiration for these earrings.

Do not submerge the earrings as that may alter the patina. If the earrings get wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue
