Earrings - "Helios and Little Bay"

These earrings were inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: Raw brass hammered oval “frames”, raw brass hammered suns and small demi-lunes dance together to form little chandeliers. All of the brass components are also covered in the Grand Manan Patina - one I achieved by applying to them different natural ingredients, and then leaving them in the open, salty air of the Island, to “age”. The patina on frames and suns is raw - meaning that there will be slight alternations in it from time to time - as if the metal were alive.
Suspended from stainless steel, handmade earwires. You have a choice here (see last photo):
Option A - Kite Stainless Steel with plastic backs

At the height of summer, the sun (Helios) feeds teeming life in the Bay of Fundy and its environs. Fauna and flora vibrate with the pulse of life, preening in its rays and soaking up its warmth. The cycle of life continues.
DIMENSIONS: Overall length (from top of earwire to lowest part of earrings) 2 1/2”, 6.3 cm - slightly longer if selecting Option B for earwires.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Do not submerge the earrings as that may alter the patina. If the earrings get wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
