Earrings - "Currents at the Whistle"

These earrings were inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: Hammered and scratched round brass connectors suspend irregular brass shapes, dimpled and gently scratched to mimic the rugged and raw authenticity of Grand Manan Island’s landscape. The brass is covered with the Grand Manan patina - which I achieved by applying different natural ingredients and leaving the pieces in the open, salty air of the Island, to “age”. The patina is raw, meaning it will continue to bloom as you wear the earrings, with slight changes over time here and there.
Suspended from stainless steel, handmade earwires. You have a choice here (see last photo):
Option A - Kite Stainless Steel with plastic backs

Option B - Almond Stainless Steel with closure - please select at CHECKOUT
Grand Manan Island is often called The Queen of the Fundy Isles. The Whistle is a location on the western side of the island, with Maine on the horizon. You will find the Long Eddy Point Lighthouse there too, and amazing currents swirling in the ocean below - loved in the summer by whales, dolphins and other fauna.
DIMENSIONS: Overall length (from top of earwire to lowest part of earrings) 2.16”, 5.5cm (slightly longer if you pick Option B for the earwires).
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the earrings as that may alter the patina. If the earrings get wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
