Necklace - "Blue Moon"

This necklace was inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: A heavily hammered, painted and scratched raw brass moon (in silver-tone) suspends a hammered and scratched raw brass shield with three tear-drop dangles. This pendant is suspended from an oval raw brass connector. All of the brass components of the necklace are covered in heavy Grand Manan Patina - one I achieved by covering them with natural ingredients, and then leaving them in the open sky and salty air on Grand Manan Island - to “age”. The “chain” is made of various raw brass connectors. Small lobster-claw closure.
A full Blue Moon hangs over a solitary island, alone but not lonely for she is much beloved by the fauna and flora that inhabits its landscape and the ocean that surrounds it. When his pale face lights up the sky, night fishermen rejoyce and fairies dance among the ferns, their heads adorned with alder crowns. And in the hackmatacks night birds stir, accompanying the fairies with their Blue Moon song.
DIMENSIONS: Chain length: approx. 30”, 76 cm Pendant length: 5”, 12.7 cm (we can shorten the chain for you, on request).
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the necklace. Doing so may alter the patina on the raw brass. If the necklace gets wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
