This wall-hanging/mobile was inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: On a late afternoon last October, at Whale Cove on Grand Manan Island, Kevin and I found several pieces of poplar bark, “beached” on the shore. This piece is one in that group. Using acrylics and watercolours, I painted an imaginary galaxy on the bark - a poplar galaxy….. The bark is uneven, both at its ends but also in its texture. A raised portion on the left of the painting gives it an extra dimension. Natural bark on the back. Dressed up with a slice of authentic driftwood touched with gold paint. Hanging on strong paper thread.

Length of piece from top to bottom of bark - 5”. 13 cm.
