This hair comb was inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts and by the unseen inhabitants of our forests and meadows, and the depths of the ocean.
COMPONENTS: I dressed up a brass comb with a spray of wire “twigs” ending in lightly shimmering titanium quartz nuggets and hot pink, faceted freshwater pearls.……..The twigs are made of tarnish-free brass wire. Fairies wear combs like this for their Equinox celebrations.
DIMENSIONS: Overall length and height (from the top of the tallest twig to the bottom of the comb, and from each side twig to the other): 3”, 7.5 cm.
Comb length: 1 1/2, 3.8cm
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Wire creations are delicate and fragile, particularly those made of thin wire. I suggest wearing this piece on special occasions rather than every day. Bending the wire repeatedly may cause it to break.
Do not submerge the hair comb. Doing so will alter the patina and beads. If the slide gets wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
