Earrings - "Low Tide at Deep Cove"

These earrings were inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: Raw brass demi-lunes are suspended from hammered and holed silver-tone metal connectors. Tiny raw brass drops add a little subtle movement. All of the brass components are also covered in the Grand Manan Patina - one I achieved by applying to them different natural ingredients, and then leaving them in the open, salty air of the Island, to “age”. The patina on the connectors and drops is raw - meaning that there will be slight alternations in it from time to time - as if the metal were alive. The blue/green patina on the demi-lunes is hard to achieve and is “fragile” - I have protected it by applying Modge Podge to the shapes to prevent it from chipping off.
Suspended from stainless steel, handmade earwires. You have a choice here (see last photo):

Deep Cove Beach on Grand Manan Island is a truly special place - one of our favourites. The cove is full of amazing energy ~ both Kevin and I go there often to regenerate but also to spark ideas for our creative pursuits. I find Deep Cove particularly grounding and in the summers, it’s often the destination for my walking meditations. Don’t miss Deep Cove when you are on the island, and if you get a chance, see it at both low and high tide - the change is truly astonishing.
DIMENSIONS: Overall length (from top of earwire to lowest part of earrings) 2 3/4”, 7 cm - slightly longer if selecting Option B for earwires.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Do not submerge the earrings as that may alter the patina. If the earrings get wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
