Earrings - "Celestial"

These earrings were inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: Heavily hammered and scratched raw brass half-moons join to form orbs that suspend beguiling glass, faceted crystals - in a celestial hue of ombre purple. All of the brass components are also covered in the Grand Manan Patina - one I achieved by applying to them different natural ingredients, and then leaving them in the open, salty air of the Island, to “age”. The patina is raw - meaning that there will be slight alternations in it from time to time - as if the metal were alive.
Suspended from stainless steel, handmade earwires. You have a choice here (see last photo):

The night sky over Grand Manan Island can enchant and beguile even the toughest critic. It’s as if the ocean and the universe out there feed one another, and supply each other with an amazing energy that beams over the island. The nightscape can be so dark and deep, it assumes a purple hue. And when the moon is out…..poetry….
DIMENSIONS: Overall length (from top of earwire to lowest part of earrings) 2.5”, 6.5 cm - slightly longer if selecting Option B for earwires.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Do not submerge the earrings as that may alter the patina. If the earrings get wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
These earrings are slightly heavier than average but by no means difficult to wear. I wear mine for an entire day with no issues, and my earlobes are 57 years old! :)
