Necklace - "Shades of October"

This necklace was inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: Some semi-precious stones can be electroplated, and these include quartz. The pendant in this necklace, a rough-cut piece of quartz, was electroplated to a golden, almost mirror-like sheen (on the sides and back of the piece). The chain is made up of small brass circles which I hand-hammered and altered as well. Many of the brass pieces are covered in the Grand Manan Patina - an effect I achieved by applying natural ingredients and then leaving the pieces in the open, salty air of the Island. The necklace ends in a small lobster-claw closure.

DIMENSIONS: Chain length: approx. 30”, 76cm Pendant length: 1 1/2”, 3.8cm
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the necklace. Doing so will alter the patina and the pendant. If the necklace gets wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
