Necklace - "Ocean Tangle II"

This necklace was inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts. She gives them to us expecting nothing in return, except our love.
COMPONENTS: In this necklace, I suspended fronds/dangles made up of freshwater pearls and a single premium Czech glass faceted bead, wrapped with oxidized copper wire, from a small raw brass shield. I hammered and scratched the shield for a more natural look. The freshwater pearls are in various shades of cream, faint green, orange and purple. I mixed brass and copper - much of it oxidized. The chain is made of raw brass links. Small lobster-claw closure.
DIMENSIONS: Chain length: approx. 30”, 76 cm

There are no pearls in the Bay of Fundy but we can conjure them in our imaginations, adored by the Fundy Mermaid, the mascot of our shop. This necklace was conjured by my imagination - long fronds moving under the ocean’s surface under power of waves and currents. A beautiful underwater landscape - the home of the Fundy Mermaid and all the creatures that share her underwater home.
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the necklace. Doing so will alter the patina and the pearls. If the necklace gets wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
