Earrings - "Here comes the Sun"

These earrings were inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: You will keep a burst of sunshine around your face each time you wear these earrings. The raw brass sun-shapes were holed and hammered by me for a more authentic, rustic feel. They are also covered in the Grand Manan Patina - one I achieved by applying to them different natural ingredients and then leaving them in the open, salty air of the Island, to “age”. The patina is raw - meaning that there will be slight alternations in it from time to time - as if the metal were alive. Simple brass point dangles invoke movement and balance.
Suspended from stainless steel, handmade earwires. You have a choice here (see last photo):

On Grand Manan Island, the sun works in concert with the ocean - and together, if unobscured by clouds, they compose a brilliant song - casting often-magical shadows here and there, creating bokeh impressions and using the sparkle of the Bay’s surface to contrast against the landscape. Sometimes, the weather on the island changes quite quickly - and when the fog abates, it’s actually possible to exclaim “here comes the sun!” as the clouds part and brilliance takes over.
DIMENSIONS: Overall length (from top of earwire to lowest part of earrings) 2 1/4”, 5.7cm - slightly longer if selecting Option B for earwires.
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the earrings as that may alter the patina. If the earrings get wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
