Earrings - "A Touch of Blue"

These earrings were inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: Hammered circles and rings in raw brass dance together to form dangles. In the middle of the rings I suspended irregularly-shaped dimpled brass forms. All of the brass components are also covered in the Grand Manan Patina - one I achieved by applying to them different natural ingredients, and then leaving them in the open, salty air of the Island, to “age”. The patina is raw - meaning that there will be slight alternations in it from time to time - as if the metal were alive.
Suspended from stainless steel, handmade earwires. You have a choice here (see last photo):
Option A - Kite Stainless Steel with plastic backs
OR
Option B - Almond Stainless Steel with closure - please select at CHECKOUT
Sometimes, the ocean reveals only a touch of blue - otherwise, its depth is profoundly green or even grey. If you go whale-watching on a bright and sunny day, you will encounter such flashes of purely blue water - as if painted by your imagination.
DIMENSIONS: Overall length (from top of earwire to lowest part of earrings) 2 1/2”, 6.3 cm - slightly shorter if selecting Option A for earwires.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Do not submerge the earrings as that may alter the patina. If the earrings get wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
