Earrings - "Lichen Blue"

These earrings were inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: Half-moon brass shapes were made all the more beautiful and earthy with the addition of the Grand Manan patina - I left them in the open sky and salty air on the Island after applying some natural ingredients. Then Mother Nature took her turn, a collaborator in this little project. The patina is bluish/green in places - like some lichen you will find all over Grand Manan Island. From the circles, I suspended little brass ovals - they will move as you move. Hanging on stainless steel, handmade earwires.
DIMENSIONS: Overall length (from top of earwire to lowest part of earrings) 2”, 5 cm.
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the earrings. Doing so may alter the patina. If they get wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue. Also, the patina is not sealed, meaning that it is “alive” and may change slightly as you own these little charmers. Just like Mother Nature - changing all the time…..
