Earrings - "A Walk through Seal Cove"

These earrings were inspired by the best of Mother Nature’s gifts.
COMPONENTS: Raw brass half-moons and triangles were patiently, and over time, patinated with natural ingredients. The process was completed on Grand Manan Island, in the open salty air, in the fog but also bright sunshine. The bottoms of the half-moons suspend raw brass “coins”, also with a heavy patina. Hanging on stainless steel, handmade earwires.
Seal Cove on Grand Manan Island is a very special place, with a rich history and heritage. The colours of this Canada Heritage site inspired these earrings.
The brass is not sealed, meaning that it is raw and will continue to bloom. There may be very slight, exciting variations to the presentation of the patina, as you own the earrings. In a sense, the metal is alive.
DIMENSIONS: Overall length (from top of earwire to lowest part of earrings) 2 1/4”, 5.6 cm.
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Do not submerge the earrings. Doing so will alter the patina. If the earrings get wet, dab the moisture away gently with tissue.
